Drinkware is extending beyond the home as consumers carry beverages for hydration, convenience and enjoyment, with housewares producers developing products suited to more active lifestyles.

Hydration has become central to wellness, while portable drinkware has grown into a category that blends function with lifestyle expression. Reusable water bottles generated $2.06 billion in U.S. sales in 2024, according to Grand View Research, with a projected compound annual growth rate of 4.5% through 2030. Environmental considerations are also influencing demand, as consumers look to reduce reliance on single-use bottles.

The emphasis on hydration and portability was evident at The Inspired Home Show, where suppliers introduced products addressing a range of uses and consumer preferences.

S’well highlighted its 18-ounce Glass Original Bottle and Glass Straw Set (pictured above), made with borosilicate glass designed to preserve flavor with no transfer. The bottle has a protective silicone sleeve, a leak-proof stainless steel lid and dishwasher-safe construction. S’well also expanded its lineup with the Glass+ Collection, combining borosilicate glass with removable stainless steel sleeves. The collection includes a 19-ounce travel tumbler and a 29-ounce tumbler designed to maintain temperature while preserving taste.

Hydration products are also being developed for younger consumers. WaterH introduced a 16-ounce Kids Hydration Tracker Water Bottle with sip tracking, LED reminders and app connectivity that allows parents to monitor intake and set hydration goals.

Products are extending beyond people as well. The PawsPik CeramiFlow Ceramic Battery-Operated Pet Water Fountain is designed to support pet hydration, with cordless operation and a rechargeable battery that provides up to 60 days of use. The ceramic construction is intended to help keep water cooler and resist odors and bacteria, while filtration and adjustable flow settings support use for pets of different sizes.

Portable drinkware is also expanding beyond hydration. High Camp Flasks introduced the Parkside Flask 750, which accommodates a full 750-milliliter bottle and includes two magnetically attached tumblers, along with the Highball Shaker, a three-piece, vacuum-insulated container designed for on-the-go beverage preparation.

Outdoor use is another factor influencing the development of drinkware. Oggi introduced a 6-ounce Double Wall Vacuum Insulated Pitcher designed to maintain beverage temperature, along with insulated margarita and wine glasses that combine traditional silhouettes with stainless steel construction for durability and temperature retention.
