HexClad, known for its “hybrid” cookware, has expanded its kitchenware offering with the launch of HexClad Hybrid Bakeware.
HexClad’s proprietary hybrid cookware design offers try-ply construction combining a magnetic stainless steel outer layer, an aluminum core and a ceramic nonstick-coated interior with a raised stainless steel hexagonal grid. HexClad said it reengineered its hybrid technology for baking, developing a new formulation of TerraBond ceramic nonstick that withstands oven temperatures up to 900°F. Each bakeware piece, backed by HexClad’s lifetime warranty, is metal-utensil and dishwasher safe, engineered to resist warping, distribute heat evenly and deliver consistent results, according to the company.
“Bakeware has been one of the most requested categories from our customers, but solving it the HexClad way was much more complicated than simply taking our cookware and putting it in the oven,” said Daniel Winer, CEO and co-founder of HexClad. “We wanted the easy release people love about nonstick without the compromises they’ve come to accept. It took four years because we kept pushing until we had the right combination of nonstick performance, durability and consistency. If we’re going to enter a category, we want to raise the standard for it.”
HexClad Hybrid Bakeware Collection includes a 9-inch-by-13-inch rectangular cake pan; a set of two 9-inch round cake pans; an 8-inch-by-8-inch square cake pan; a
10-inch-by-15-inch baking sheet; and a 9.5-inch-by-14.5-inch stainless-steel cooling rack.
The bakeware collection was tested during development by HexClad’s product and engineering teams, as well as members of its Global Culinary Council, including Gordon Ramsay, Massimo Bottura, Dominique Crenn, Nancy Silverton, Clare Smyth and Paul Ainsworth.
Available for pre-order now, the HexClad Hybrid Bakeware, with individual pieces and collection sets ranging in price point from $179 to $499, is expected to begin shipping by October 5, the company said.
