The Dyson Airwrap Co-anda2x (Airwrap2x) multi-styler and hair dryer is designed to deliver twice the air pressure to wrap hair easily and dry hair fast for sleek looks.
New Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID)- enabled attachments are designed to adjust autmotically to styling needs, delivering optimal results for all hair types, according to Dyson. Connected to the MyDyson app, users can curl with one-touch i.d. curl technology, a curling sequence customizer for the user. The Airwrap2x is also smaller and lighter in the hand than its predecessor, offering improved maneuverability and control.

The Hyperdymium 2 motor features a wire as thin as a strand of human hair, measuring just 90 microns, according to Dyson. Designed specifically for the Airwrap2x, the motor offers 30% more product power and twice the air pressure for faster drying and styling than the original Airdrop model.
Sensors have been embedded in the Airwrap 2x to eliminate the guesswork from styling:
- Attachment Learning: An RFID chip communicates with the machine to instantly adapt temperature and airflow settings.
- Personalized Curling with i.d. curl: Used with the Airwrap2x curling barrels, the i.d. curl sequence activates four steps for consistent curls with the push of an action button to adjust heat and airflow to wrap, set and release curls.
- Hall Sensor: Detects when the filter is attached.
- MEMs (Micro-Electro-Mechanical) Pressure Sensor: Detects when filter cleaning is needed to inform the user.
- 2x Glass Bead Thermistors: For intelligent heat control, which measures air temperature 1000 times per second to keep it stable and ensure the machine does not cause heat damage.
Attachments include:
- 20mm, 30mm and 40mm Co-anda2x Curling Barrels: Create faster curls, including tight curls (20mm), voluminous curls and waves (30mm) and loose curls and waves (40mm) in both directions with one barrel.
- Anti-Snag Loop Brush 2x: Designed for a smoother, more aligned finish, engineered for all hair types. Patented loop bristles reduce snagging while improving comfort on the scalp, while hook bristles mean that a row of outer bristles pick up hair for increased control nearer the root.
- Round Volumizing Brush 2x: Designed to create a voluminous style with less frizz.
- AirSmooth2x Attachment: A finishing attachment with two jets of high-velocity air that deliver the tension needed to create a smooth style with less frizz. Non-heated contact bars smooth, align and reduce volume.
- Fast Dryer 2x: Takes hair from wet to dry or pre-dries for further styling. Non-heated contact bars smooth, align and reduce volume.
- Tension Comb 2x: Designed for curly and coily hair, this high-velocity airflow dries hair quickly while stretching and smoothing it. Additional side bristles increase tension for a straighter finish.
- Wave+Curl Diffuser 2x: A two-in-one format diffuser disperses airflow in two different ways to enhance natural curl patterns.
