Dyson has launched the Supersonic Travel hair dryer, made to meet the demands of modern travelers without compromising hair health or styling results.

“We didn’t just shrink a dryer, we re-engineered it for travel,” said company founder James Dyson. “The Supersonic Travel delivers high-performance styling while protecting hair from extreme heat. It is built for performance, portability and hair health.”

The Supersonic Travel is 32% smaller and 25% lighter than the full-sized Supersonic, making it easier to pack in carry-on bags and handbags, according to the company. It is compatible with attachments from the Supersonic and Supersonic Nural models and features automatic voltage adaptation for use across different regions.

The device incorporates Dyson’s intelligent heat control technology, which measures airflow temperature 100 times per second to help prevent heat damage, while engineered airflow is designed to deliver fast, even drying. The compact design brings the company’s core hair care technologies into a smaller form factor suited for travel.

“We’re seeing a rise in low-maintenance, high-impact travel styles like the ‘air-sculpted wave,’” said Irinel De Leon, Dyson’s global styling ambassador. “Using the Supersonic Travel dryer, you can create your preferred style with controlled heat while enhancing shine. It’s the kind of look that feels effortless but intentional.”

The Dyson Supersonic Travel hair dryer is available now with a styling concentrator attachment for $299.99. Additional attachments, including a diffuser, wide-tooth comb, flyaway smoother and gentle air attachment, are sold separately.
