The International Housewares Association’s 2024 CHESS (Chief Housewares Executive SuperSession) began yesterday with an industry education program that covered topics including regulatory and legislative issues, updates on shipping, the state of retail, sourcing opportunities in India and a keynote from Pooh Vichidvongsa, senior vice president of pOpshelf.

Five industry veterans have been elected to the board of directors of the International Housewares Association. The new directors are Alexander Gransbury, founder and CEO, Dreamfarm; Lauren Greenwood, president, YouCopia Products, Inc.; Henry Liu, president & CEO, Cangshan Cutlery; Pamela Stafford, managing director, Hestan Culinary; and Kelly Walsh, vice president, KitchenSupply.

Key housewares supplier executives will sit in the Housewares Hot Seat during the International Housewares Association’s Chief Housewares Executive SuperSession 2024 (CHESS), September 24 and 25 in Rosemont, IL.
