To satisfy the demand for multi-use products, Black+Blum, a design company based in the United Kingdom, is introducing an addition to its collection of premium food and beverage on-the-go items, which it calls Multi-Function Food Boxes and Bowls (pictured above).
Coming in five sizes, the stainless-steel containers provide a combination of benefits, the company said. Because of their unique design, the stainless steel containers are fine to use in a microwave, so food heats quickly and easily. With a specially designed lid-lock switch, the containers are leak-proof and, when closed, create a semi-vacuum to keep food fresher for longer. In addition to meal prep, purchasers can store the containers in the freezer and fridge. Then, the bases can stand up to a conventional oven. The containers nest, too, so they are easy to store when not in use.
Dan Black, founder, and lead designer stated, “Consumers are looking for easy-to-use solutions in food storage, meal prep and lunch boxes that combine several functions. These containers can be taken outside the home due to being lightweight and totally leak-proof. Black+Blum Travel Tumbler
In addition, Black+Blum is launching what it characterizes as the company’s market-challenging insulated, stainless-steel Travel Tumbler. It boasts a 100% leak-proof design, that not only has a thread for screwing on the see-through Tritan lid, but also a separate lid lock that swivels open for drinking and closes to lock. The tumbler has a 20-ounce capacity and fits all car cup holders as well as rucksack pockets. It is made from high-quality stainless steel, the company stated, and is insulated to keep drinks cold for eight hours and hot for six, the company points out. Tumbler is ideal for both carbonated and still drinks as well as smoothies, it added.
“The market is looking for a stainless-steel tumbler that is genuinely leak-proof rather than just spill-proof,” Black maintained. “Unlike other stainless-steel tumblers, our design features a sealed screw top lid for added security, rather than a push-in lid that is prone to being dislodged if put inside a bag. The lid closure uses the same technology that is featured on our successful Travel Cups which have sold so well since their launch two years ago.”
