Former National Basketball Association All-Star Blake Griffin takes center stage in Wayfair’s latest Wayborhood campaign as host of the Chair-Ades Challenge Sweepstakes, a playful twist on charades that invites fans to strike a pose as a chair on TikTok and Instagram for the chance to win a $1,000 gift card.
The campaign made Vanderbilt Hall in New York City’s Grand Central Terminal its starting point. In a pop-up there on May 13, Wayfair and Griffin asked passersby to take a break from their commutes and strike a pose.
As the Wayfair “Master of Chairemonies”, Griffin brings comedic charm to the campaign, the company noted, after his role in the recently run Wayfair Game Night ad.
The Chair-Ades Challenge Sweepstakes asks fans to act as their favorite chair styles found among the Wayfair selection of more than 200,000 options in what the company characterized as a celebration of humor, creativity and personal style in home design. The sweepstakes closes on Tuesday, June 3 at midnight eastern time. For a chance to win one of eight $1,000 Wayfair e-gift cards, entrants post a public video on TikTok or Instagram posing as a chair. They include the #WayfairSweepstakes hashtag and the @Wayfair tag.
