With a namesake brick-and-mortar store planned for Denver in 2026, Wayfair is spreading its physical retail presence across the United States.
Set to open in late 2026, the 140,000-square-foot Denver Wayfair store (rendering above) would complement the already operating location in the Chicago suburbs and others planned for Yonkers, NY, just north of New York City, and Atlanta. The move into Denver will mark Wayfair’s first physical store foray into the Mountain West region.
With the opening, Wayfair plans to offer consumers in an entirely new geographic market a one-stop shopping experience while furthering the company’s plan to use physical stores to familiarize more consumers across the U.S. with its operations. Wayfair stated that, with the success of its first Wilmette, IL, location in the Chicago suburbs, the company is accelerating the momentum of its physical retail expansion, bringing the Wayfair experience to customers in key markets across the country.
Wayfair reported that it designed the company’s physical stores to serve customers through every stage of life, from setting up a nursery to renovating a kitchen. Shoppers can select and take home much of the available merchandise the same day. Then, the store can arrange fast shipping for larger purchases such as sofas, shuffleboard tables and dining sets, Wayfair indicated. As part of the shopping trip, consumers can relax at The Porch, an all-day café serving fresh bites and a variety of beverages at affordable prices, the company added.
