Pier 1, the former home specialty retail brand now owned by Omni Retail Enterprises, is extending into new product categories through a licensing agreement with ID Home Fashions.

Omni Retail Enterprises, which operates Pier1.com and a group of legacy retail brands repositioned for e-commerce, is using a licensing-led strategy to bring Pier 1 back into physical retail through new product assortments and established wholesale channels.

Under the agreement, ID Home Fashions will design, develop and manufacture and distribute a range of Pier 1-branded soft home products, including bedding, tabletop, bath and indoor and outdoor cushions. Distribution is planned across multiple U.S. channels, as well as Pier1.com.

The move reflects Pier 1’s evolution under Omni from a traditional brick-and-mortar retailer into a digital brand platform centered on content, community and commerce. Through partnerships like this, the company is working to extend that brand identity into physical product experiences.

ID Home Fashions brings category expertise in soft home, along with sourcing and retail execution capabilities, positioning the collaboration to scale across channels while maintaining brand consistency, according to Omni Retail Enterprises.

“This agreement reflects a deliberate approach to brand extension,” said Raj Gupta, CEO of Omni Retail Enterprises. Partnering with ID Home Fashions allows Pier 1 to enter key soft home categories with a best-in-class operator that understands both product development and retail execution. We view this as a long-term collaboration focused on disciplined growth, strong retail partnerships and maintaining the integrity of the Pier 1 brand as it expands into new channels.”

“Pier 1 is a natural fit for ID Home Fashions’ design aesthetic and sourcing capabilities,” said Meenakshi Sharma, president of ID Home Fashions. “We are excited to be able to launch this dominant home brand, for the first time, to our retail partners, and look forward to working with the Pier 1 team to help bring their story to life and inspire customers in their homes.”
