Nordstrom Rack Rollout Continues with Pacific Northwest Stores

Posted In: Retail Articles

As it continues to expand its bricks and mortar off-price store portfolio, Nordstrom has announced plans to open three of its Rack stores during the fall of 2023 all located in the Pacific Northwest.

The new stores will operate in Union Gap and Olympia, WA, and Salem, OR.

The latest announcement follows Nordstrom revealing over the summer that it planned to continue its Rack expansion with locations in Delray Beach, FL, Chattanooga, TN, and Wichita, KS.

The new 28,000 square foot Union Gap Nordstrom Rack will debut in the Valley Mall, while the 32,000 square foot Olympia store will open in the Cooper Point Marketplace, the company noted. The 25,000-square-foot Salem Nordstrom Rack will bow at the Willamette Town Center.

With three locations added, Nordstrom will operate 12 Nordstrom Racks and six Nordstrom department stores in Washington and seven Nordstrom Racks and two Nordstrom department stores in Oregon.

“We look forward to opening these new Nordstrom Rack locations in Union Gap, Olympia and Salem communities, strengthening our network of stores, and introducing new customers to the Rack’s unique product offering,” said Carl Jenkins, senior vp of Nordstrom Rack Stores, in announcing the new store plans. “In addition to shopping the brands they love at a great price, even more customers in Washington and Oregon can take full advantage of these convenient new locations to pick up online orders and make returns.”
