China-based retailer Miniso claimed the top spot on this year’s 2026 Hot 25 Retailers List released by The National Retail Federation, a roster based on retail sales gains in the United States between 2024 and 2025.

Compiled by business services provider Kantar, Miniso grabbed the list’s top slot as sales grew 52.6% on a broad selection of affordable lifestyle products, an emphasis on discovery-driven shopping experiences, and continued expansion across the U.S., NRF noted.

Among the foremost retailers, Dick’s Sporting Goods followed Miniso, coming in second with 48.5% sales growth following its acquisition of Foot Locker. Rounding out the top five were Daiso Sangyo with 25.8% growth, Primark with 24.2% growth and Five Below with 22.9% growth. NRF said Daiso Sangyo and Five Below posted significant advances to make the top five, at three and five, respectively, while Primark fell two spots in this year’s list, coming in at number four.

Outside of the top five, the biggest movers on this year’s list included Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, which jumped to number seven from 21 on last year’s list; and CVS, up to nine from 25, according to the NRF. Muji entered the top 10 at number 10, climbing from 14 in 2025. Ulta Beauty made the top 15, occupying the 14th slot, while Burlington took the 17th position, Costco the 18th, Restoration Hardware the 19th, Harbor Freight Tools the 22nd and Ross the 25th, a slot ahead of Wawa.

“The retailers on this year’s Hot 25 list highlight the diversity and innovation shaping today’s retail landscape,” said Mark Mathews, NRF chief economist and executive director of research. “As consumer preferences evolve, these retailers are responding with products, value and shopping experiences that resonate with consumers.”

David Marcotte, Kantar senior vice president of global retail and technology, added, “The 2026 Hot 25 list highlights the shifting priorities of today’s consumers. Shoppers are increasingly seeking a balance of value and quality, along with products that support their lifestyles. The retailers gaining the most momentum are those that understand these consumers and deliver shopping experiences that are convenient and enjoyable.”
