The annual Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks in New York City will add displays launching from the Brooklyn Bridge during this year’s festivities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the retailer’s Independence Day pyrotechnics extravaganza.
“Macy’s doesn’t just light up the sky, we ignite a shared tradition,” said Will Coss, Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks executive producer. “By bringing the fireworks to New York City and communities across the country, we create a spectacular event that celebrates joy, unity and togetherness. We are proud to bring people together year after year to honor the traditions that connect us all.”
The retailer also is well known as the producer of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City’s Manhattan, the first of which was held in 1924.
