Dollar General Corp. has appointed Donny Lau executive vice president and chief financial officer, marking his return to the retailer after serving in financial leadership roles elsewhere.
Lau takes up his post on October 20. Current CFO Kelly Dilts exits the company on August 28. In the interim, Dollar General’s CEO Todd Vasos will serve as the principal financial officer, the company stated. Lau previously held positions of increasing responsibility at Dollar General from 2017 to 2023. He most recently was Zaxby’s Franchising CFO, Dollar General noted.
“I am excited to welcome Donny back to Dollar General as our next CFO,” Vasos said in announcing the appointment. “Donny’s deep understanding of our business, culture and values and his impressive financial leadership and experience uniquely position him to drive excellence and create long-term shareholder value. I have full confidence in his ability to guide our financial organization forward.”
Nordstrom has announced that Dilts will become its CFO on August 29.
