Retailers and affiliated businesses already are already promoting themselves as last-minute shopping helpers in this holiday season and taking different angles on the calendar crunched consumer.

Naturally, Bed Bath & Beyond is highlighting a vast array of household goods including in its 2021 Holiday Gift Guide where products across a range of price points, categories and giving kinds from stocking stuffers to self gifts. The company also is getting the word out on its enhanced mobile shopping app, same-day delivery and free trial Beyond+ membership, which provides 20% off all purchases and free standard shipping all season long.

Bed Bath & Beyond suggests such gifts for under $25 as the Studio 3B Candle Collection, Oster Cordless Electric Wine Bottle Opener and UGG Dawson Tipped Faux Fur Tablet Pouf, gifts for under $50 as the Therapedic 12-pound Weighted Blanket, All-Clad Nonstick, Hard-Anodized 2-Piece Fry Pan Set and Our Table Preston Barware Collection, gifts for under $100 as the Keurig K-Mini Plus Single-Serve K-Cup Pod Coffee Maker, Sharper Image Calming Cozy Massaging Heated Wrap with Sherpa Lining and PowerXL Grill Air Fryer Combo, and gifts for over $100 as the Shark AI RV2001 Wi-Fi Connected Robot Vacuum with Advanced Navigation, Waterpik Sonic-Fusion 2.0 Flossing Toothbrush and Studio 3B Bar Cart.

Bed Bath & Beyond also conveys gift suggestions from its Home, Happier Team including culinary personality Katie Lee Biegel, interior designer Jeremiah Brent, storage and organization expert Eryn Donaldson, and sleep wellness specialist, Dr. Shelby Harris.

They include:

Macy’s is encouraging consumers to view it as a physical or digital place to find unique and thoughtful gifts across an array of price points. The new Macy’s gift finder can help curate and reveal products based on recipients and their interests. Shoppers who order online at macys.com by 5 p.m. on December 22 can get standard delivery by Christmas. Macy’s gift suggestions include, for under $15, an El Arroyo Mug, for under $25, a Homedics TotalComfort Personal Humidifier, The Burlap Bag Holiday Soy Candles and a Philip Whitney Geometric Silver Frame, for under $50, a  Godinger Boundary Pattern 5-Piece. Whiskey Set, Created for Macy’s, and, for under $100, a Crux 3.7-Quart Touchscreen Electric Air Fryer. Luxe gift suggestions include the Therabody Theragun Prime messager and the Bartesian Premium Cocktails on Demand set.

As for delivery services, Shipt is positioning itself as a last-minute shopping “accomplice” because holiday shoppers can place orders for delivery, whether to themselves or to friends and family across the country, right up through Christmas Eve. Shipt pointed out that its order deadline is more than a week later than traditional carrier holiday shipping deadlines. For truly last-minute shoppers, Shipt provides a final delivery window of 5 to 6 p.m. local time on orders placed that afternoon.

With supply chain and shipping challenges affecting the United States, Shipt maintained that it is working closely with retailers to maintain the most up-to-date inventories, so when shoppers add items to their carts that are low in stock, they are prompted to select a backup item. Shipt asserted that it has experienced a 90% plus success rate in securing backup items.
