This week marks a comprehensive HomePage News video content expansion in collaboration with Springboard Futures’ Tom Mirabile, among the home and housewares industry’s foremost trend forecasters.

The HomePage News/Springboard Futures programming is presented with the educational support of the International Housewares Association.

Mirabile brings industry-leading home and housewares trend forecasting credentials to the HomePage News content portfolio. As consumer trend forecaster for the International Housewares Association, he delivers the popular Top Trends keynote during the Inspired Home Show, and he is a collaborator on IHA’s annual Market Watch industry forecast. He has been a trend content contributor for HomePage News since its launch in 2021.

Mirabile cultivated his home and housewares trend instincts in the buying offices of Neiman Marcus, Horchow and Bloomingdale’s. He moved to the supplier side in 2002 for Syratech, later acquired by Lifetime Brands, for which Mirabile served several years as vice president of global trend and design. During that time he was an editor for Pantone and a trend consultant for major national retailers.

Mirabile in 2020 launched his own trend research and forecasting business, Springboard Futures. Springboard has developed a trademarked methodology— Trend Viability Mapping— for evaluating trends, bringing an empirical foundation to Mirabile’s authoritative insight on trends and their applications in home and housewares.
