USA Pan, a manufacturer of premium bakeware and kitchen products, announced it acquired substantially all manufacturing and coil-coating assets of bakeware manufacturer G&S Metal Products Company.

The acquired assets include G&S Metal’s metal fabrication and manufacturing equipment, coil-coating capabilities and related production assets, USA Pan Director John Bundy told HomePage News.

USA Pan, founded in 1959 as a producer of commercial bakeware, began making and marketing cookware for home use (pictured above) in 2009. The company plans to integrate the acquired manufacturing and coil-coating assets into its Glenwillard, PA, headquarters and manufacturing operation near Pittsburgh, Bundy said.

Cleveland-based G&S Metal, founded in 1949, operated manufacturing facilities in Ohio and Connecticut. G&S Metal, at press time, did not respond to a request for comment about the manufacturing asset sale to USA Pan.

Bundy, who did not disclose terms of the asset acquisition, said the move represents a significant investment in USA Pan’s manufacturing capabilities and strengthens the company’s ability to support customers with expanded production capacity, coating expertise and vertically integrated manufacturing. The acquisition, he added, is expected to enhance USA Pan’s ability to manage more of its manufacturing process in-house — such as coil coating for nonstick coating application — providing greater control over quality, production schedules and product development

“This acquisition is an exciting opportunity for USA Pan and our customers,” Bundy said. “G&S Metals has built valuable manufacturing and coating capabilities, and bringing these assets into USA Pan allows us to build on that foundation while continuing to invest in American manufacturing. We believe this will provide us with greater flexibility, additional capacity and the ability to better serve our customers.”

The additional manufacturing capabilities also create opportunities for USA Pan to expand its U.S.-made product offering and support new customer programs, Bundy said.

“This investment reflects our long-term commitment to manufacturing in the United States,” Bundy said. “We are excited about what these capabilities will allow us to do and look forward to leveraging the expertise and equipment acquired from G&S Metals to create additional value for our customers.”
