Sustainable bread storage company Nectar & Nest has launched Toile & Tale, a new limited-edition design in its Artist Collection created in collaboration with Alberta, Canada-based surface pattern designer Kim Morrow.
Featuring handcrafted details and layered textures, the Toile & Tale design, Morrow said, drew on a memory of her children filming a dragonfly, an experience that shaped the nature-focused pattern.
“The Artist Collection is my favorite launch of the year,” said Nectar & Nest founder Brandie Cazimero-Ornellas. “I love being able to introduce our community to another artist’s work while giving a percentage of sales back to them. Kim’s design feels especially at home at Nectar & Nest because it celebrates the same thing we do: finding beauty and meaning in the everyday moments that happen around our homes and tables.”
A Native Hawaiian illustrator, former Miss Hawaii USA and eco-entrepreneur, Cazimero-Ornellas founded Nectar & Nest to combine her interest in design and breadmaking. The company develops bread storage products designed to help home bakers keep homemade loaves fresh longer.
The Artist Collection pairs Nectar & Nest products with designs from independent artists, who receive a percentage of sales from their respective collections.
Morrow, a homemaker turned artist with a background in textiles, creates surface patterns for home products. Nectar & Nest said her Toile & Tale design reflects her focus on incorporating art into functional, everyday objects.
Toile & Tale also marks Nectar & Nest’s debut of a new packaging direction and evolving visual identity.
