Meyer Corporation’s Anolon brand has introduced the N2 Carbon Steel Collection, the brand’s first nitrogen-hardened carbon steel cookware made without added coatings. It is designed to deliver the power and performance of cast iron without the weight.
The company’s first-ever carbon steel collection is a fusion of iron, carbon and nitrogen that results in a nonstick that improves with every use, said the company. The N2 Carbon Steel does not require any seasoning prior to use and is paired with a mirror polish made to ensure smooth food release, according to Meyer. The pans darken, strengthen and develop a natural patina over time.
The cookware is suitable for use on all stovetops, including induction, and it is oven, pizza oven and grill safe up to 1000°F. Cast stainless steel handles stay cool during stovetop use.
The collection includes a 10-inch open frying pan ($119.99), a 12-inch open frying pan with helper handle ($129.99) and a 14-inch wok with helper handle ($149.99).
The Anolon N2 Carbon Steel Collection is available now at Anolon.com and select retailers nationwide.
