Cast iron cookware maker, Smithey Ironware, has opened its new cast iron Restoration Shop at its production facility in Charleston, South Carolina.
The shop will restore any Smithey product or vintage cast iron from other brands, according to the company. Services include removing rust and carbon build-up and re-seasoning for a smooth and even finish.
“We’re set in the belief that every piece of cast iron holds unforgettable memories and traditions in the kitchen, which is why we’re on a mission to make sure they remain in their best condition.,” said Will Copenhaver, Smithey vice president, marketing.
Restoration pricing is $75 per piece, including shipping, the company reported.
