With a focus on evolving consumer trends, Clipper Corp. will shine a spotlight on the new Viking Blue Carbon Steel cookware assortment at The Inspired Home Show.

According to Jeff Malkasian, president of retail brands at Clipper Corp., which markets Viking kitchenware, Blue Carbon Steel has emerged as a popular cookware material among home cooks, as it combines the performance of a clad cookware and cast iron cookware, including even heat conductivity, without the weight of cast iron.

“The big advantage to the home cook is that like cast iron, cooking on carbon steel is more natural,” Malkasian said. “The pan requires seasoning, and with use, it will perform like a nonstick pan without any chemical-based nonstick coating. This is a big feature for health-conscious cooks that don’t want to expose their food to a nonstick coating but prefer to cook more naturally.”

The new Blue Carbon Steel cookware (above) is available in a two-piece 10-inch and 12-inch frying pan set, as well as an individual 12-inch wok. The new cookware comes pre-seasoned and each piece features an ergonomic riveted stay-cool handle with a built-in finger guide which, the company said, makes it easy to lift, hold and pour the pans.

Viking 17-piece German Steel Cutlery Set

Clipper will also have on display its new Viking 17-piece German Steel cutlery set. The knives, said the company, are made with premium German steel blades and heavy-duty forged bolsters paired with full-tang, triple-riveted handles that create an ergonomic shape for a secure and comfortable grip. The set includes: 8″ chef’s knife; 7″ santoku knife; 8″ carving knife; 8″ bread knife; 6″ boning knife; 5″ serrated utility knife; 3.5″ paring knife; 3.5″ serrated paring knife; set of 4.5″ steak knives; 10″ sharpening steel; a pair of kitchens shears; and a 16-slot acacia wood block for storage.

Viking Whistling Tea Kettles

Also on display will be Viking’s new range of whistling tea kettles, which are made of non-reactive stainless steel and available in black and stainless;  rose gold and copper; and stainless steel finishes. Each 2.6-quart kettle features an ergonomic handle and a magnetic base designed for use with all cooktop types, including induction.
