CDN has released the Coffee Scale & Timer, which measures quantities of coffee, tea and spices with precision to one-tenth of a gram or one two-hundredth of an ounce. A built-in count-up timer measures up to 100 minutes in minutes/seconds. The high precision level of weight and time makes it ideal for pour-over coffee drinkers, bakers and more, said the company.
According to CDN, when making pour-over coffee, the amount of coffee and the amount of steeping time are important variables. The Coffee Scale & Timer was designed to measure both of those variables with more precision than measuring spoons or conventional kitchen scales. The precision can also be helpful for bakers measuring ingredients by weight instead of volume.
The CDN scale uses a backlit display, comes with a tare function, selectable units and visual indicators for overload, low battery and battery charging. The scale can measure up to 6.5-lbs. and is heat-resistant up to 275° F.
