Helen of Troy Limited announced Noel Geoffroy has left her position as the company’s CEO and resigned as a company director. Helen of Troy CFO Brian Grass was appointed interim CEO as it conducts a search for a permanent CEO, the company reported.

Tracy Scheuerman, previously Helen of Troy’s senior vice president of finance for its home and outdoor segment, was named interim CFO.

Helen of Troy Board Chairman Timothy Meeker stated, “The board thanks Ms. Geoffroy for her service and looks forward to partnering with Mr. Grass and our talented global leadership team to improve the long-term health of our brands and position the Company for sustained shareholder value creation. As we work to identify the Company’s next CEO, our priority will be selecting a leader who closely aligns with the Board’s strong belief that this Company has tremendous growth potential.”

Grass has served as Helen of Troy’s CFO since September 2023. He joined the company in 2006 and served as CFO from 2014 until his retirement in 2021. He rejoined the company in March 2023 to serve as senior vice president and assistant CFO and was named interim CFO in April 2023.

“I am committed to working closely with the board, our leadership team and our talented associates to capitalize on the opportunities we see in front of us and enable our powerful portfolio of global brands to more profitably grow in the year ahead and well into the future,” Grass said. “Like the board, I strongly believe in Helen of Troy’s tremendous potential for sustainable growth and long-term shareholder value creation.”

Scheuerman joined Helen of Troy in March of 2004 through its acquisition of Oxo International, where she had served as controller. Scheuerman was promoted in 2008 to vice president, finance and supply chain of the company’s housewares segment. In 2015, she was appointed senior vice president, finance and operations of the housewares segment and served until her retirement in 2024, leading the financial and operational management of the Oxo, Hydro Flask, and Osprey brands now under the company’s home and outdoor segment. Following her retirement, she worked as a consultant with the company until her appointment as interim CFO.

Helen of Troy recently announced its fourth-quarter net income fell just short of a Wall Street estimate, while revenue surpassed expectations at a time when the company reported it is advancing its “Reset & Revitalize” program to reinforce brand value and streamline operating performance in an economy rife with uncertainty.
