Gift for Life January Fundraiser Supports World Central Kitchen

Gift for Life reported a January fundraiser spearheaded by Matthew Katzenson, CEO of Fine Lines sales agency and the Gift for Life immediate past chair, raised more than $11,000 for World Central Kitchen.

World Central Kitchen (WCK) provides meals in response to humanitarian, climate and community crises globally by building resilient food systems.

Fine Lines and the agency’s sales representatives raised $11,507 during the January 2022 Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Seattle Markets. With an initial goal of $5,000, Katzenson pledged to donate $1 to WCK for every order Fine Lines wrote in January. Katzenson’s also invited vendors to join the effort by donating $1 for each order written by Fine Lines.

The effort expanded even further with outreach to agency partners and support from Just Got 2 Have It! and Sugar B Sales. Other contributing agencies and vendors: Denik, Designworks Collective, Enewton, Homesick Candles, Infinite, She, Jellycat, K Hall Studio, Meri Meri, Poppy Handcrafted Popcorn, Rock Scissor Paper, Skeem Design

“I have been a long-time board member of Gift for Life, and a strong supporter of World Central Kitchen, an incredible organization which is always first to the frontlines,” Katzenson said.

“We appreciate Matt’s passion and his creativity in developing easy ways to engage our industry in fundraising for World Central Kitchen,” said Cole Daugherty, Gift for Life chair.  “We invite other buyers and sellers in the industry to follow Matt’s lead by launching their own initiatives.”
