Coleman is introducing the Snap ‘N Go collapsible hard cooler, designed to deliver the cold retention and durability of a hard cooler while collapsing to a third of its size in seconds.
Coleman, part of the Newell Brands portfolio, pointed to evolving outdoor habits, with participation shifting from extended camping trips to more frequent, casual activities such as tailgates, backyard gatherings, sideline sports and beach outings, at which empty coolers can take up valuable trunk space. The company also noted that younger consumers are often living in smaller spaces, in which storage is limited.
The Snap ‘N Go cooler expands to full size and collapses in less than 10 seconds, while delivering up to 64 hours of cold retention and maintaining a sturdy construction, according to Coleman. It also features dual carry modes — vertical when collapsed and horizontal when open — for easier transport in tight spaces, vehicles or over longer distances.
“Outdoor activities today look a lot different than they did a decade ago, especially for Gen Z and Millennial consumers,” said Jimmy Jia, global vice president of brand management, outdoor and recreation at Newell Brands. “A new generation of outdoor enthusiasts is redefining outdoor recreation, from mountain retreats to tailgates to weekend leagues. Many urban dwellers are also navigating tighter living spaces and more dynamic routines. With Snap ‘N Go, we expand Coleman’s Americana legacy while delighting new audiences.”
Available in 35-, 45- and 55-quart sizes and in Blue Sky, Sapphire and Mussel colorways, Snap ‘N Go starts at $199.99. It is available on Coleman.com, Amazon, Dick’s Sporting Goods, REI and other select retail partners nationwide.
