Minky Homecare, a UK-based company known for its garment care, bath and kitchen organizers, cleaning products and styling tools, has opened a U.S. office in Chicago and appointed a pair veteran housewares executives Paul Mann and Doug Ramsdale.
Mann, previously of Whitmor and Home Products International, leads the expanded Minky Homecare operation as vice president/general manager, USA. He is supported by Doug Ramsdale, former CEO of Home Products International, as non-executive chairman.

“Minky Homecare is a long-established developer and manufacturer of home care products. More than 80 percent of our range, which includes ironing boards, covers and pads, storage containers and other accessories, is produced in our own factories and ready to ship from our U.S. Distribution Center in Kansas City. MO,” Mann stated. “We have been in the U.S. for many years, and we see a real opportunity to build on this strong foundation and provide retailers with the reliable, high-quality products and level of service needed in today’s fast-paced retail environment.”
Minky owner Martin Fuchs added: “Both Paul and Doug have well-established backgrounds in the categories Minky has traditionally offered. They know manufacturing and creative product development and we look forward to growing our US business under their direction.”
