European home appliance brand Beko has introduced a line of eco-friendly appliances. The seven-product line includes a washing machine/washer dryer, an oven, a tumble dryer, a refrigerator, an espresso coffee maker and a dishwasher.
Hakan Bulgurlu, CEO of Arçelik, Beko’s parent company, said, “Our goals in sustainability and our leading efforts in innovation are two great parts of the same whole. Their evolution depends on each other. It is up to us to find better, more environmentally conscious ways of conducting our lives. With a series of eco-friendly Beko appliances, customers can now fully equip a sustainable home.”
The EcoTub Washing Machine & Washer Dryer, EcoFiber Oven and GreenDry Tumble Dryer were made from varying forms of recycled waste including plastic, fishnet and industrial thread waste. The BioCycle Refrigerator and BioCoffee Espresso Machine are made with bio-composites, and the AutoDose Dishwasher reduces chemicals by using less detergent.
