Gourmet Housewares Retailers, Suppliers Set for GCX Expo in Atlanta

Organizers of the first GCX Expo & Education event said more than 50 retailers and 40 exhibitors are expected at the B2B gourmet housewares collaboration between GC Buying Group and International Market Centers during the forthcoming Atlanta Market.

GCX, slated for July 13-14 at AmericasMart, also is set to feature several educational presentations and product demonstration. The summer Atlanta Market runs July 12-18, 2022 at AmericasMart.

Day one of GCX event will feature a showcase of gourmet housewares and food brands on the third floor of AmericasMart building 2 at open to participating GC Buying Group retailers. Confirmed brands, according to GC Buying group and IMC, include the following:

Day one of GCX includes a networking breakfast, lunch and a party at the Jura Demonstration Kitchen the eight floor of AmericasMart Building 2. Day two (July 14), is scheduled to include roundtable discussions and product demonstrations beginning at 1 p.m. Veteran industry editor expert Warren Shoulberg is set to give a presentation, “Home, Gift and Housewares,” at 2:15 p.m. Two networking roundtable discussions facilitated by Drop the Mic explore “Inventory Control & Planning,” at 1:45 p.m.; and “Best Sellers / Trends & Identifying Your Customers / Generations,” at 3:45 p.m. The product demonstration schedule includes the GC team on cutlery at 1:15 p.m.; Le Creuset at 2:45 p.m., Outbound at 3 p.m.; Cuisinart at 3:15 p.m.; Cangshan at 4:30 p.m.; and Dreamfarm at 4:45 p.

“Vendors are excited for the opportunity to show their brands in Atlanta, and retailers are making commitments to attend,” said Janis Johnson, founder and president of GC Buying Group.

Retailers representing more than 60 storefronts are confirmed to attend, according GC. Retailers attending Atlanta Market for the first time for the event include Casa di Mazzaro in St. Petersburg, Fla.; The Milled Olive in Star, Idaho; and Wisconsin Cutlery in Madison, Wis., according to GC and IMC
